You just look at the examples in chapter five of the core rulebook or chapter five in Thousand Years of Night. There's a significant gap between Ancillae and Elders, because that's how the example antagonists are written in the books. The cockroaches that somehow managed to survive centuries despite every probability of getting hunted down, backstabbed or Diablerized along the way. I feel like Elders are supposed to be the exception to the rule. even though a powerful ancilla and a weak elder are supposed to be pretty close to each other.I don't see Ancillae and Elders as equals in any way. I mean, there's a gap of 45 XP between a high end Ancilla, and a low end Elder. Your rules seem to inflate the lower ends significantly. ![]() What's the rationale for using this instead of the official one on page 82 of VtR 2e? It's kind of hard to give much criticism without the reasoning for the change.
